Alright people, I've been seriously thinking something through regarding
the new title from Capcom planning to release this November 15th,
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. To be honest, I'm really happy to be able
to be getting a chance to play as some of the awesome characters that've
been added as well as my Lovely Felicia once again ( X3 ), but there's
one thing I'd like to talk about...the roster in general.

Now just wait...I'm not going to go on a 2 hour long description about
MegaMan not being in Blah-Blah-Blah, but it's more than that. I'm
focusing more on the Marvel side in this discussion. The Marvel side is
actually rather disappointing to me to be honest, and although I'd pick
the Capcom side over the Marvel side anyday of the week, the Marvel
side has disappointed not only me, but alot of Marvel fans as well. Of
course it brings back some old favorites like Wolverine, Iron Man, Hulk
and Captain America and adds in awesome newcomers like Deadpool,
Taskmaster, Thor and Dormammu, but there's just some things that
disappoint me deeply.

First off, we've got these characters:

X-23

She-Hulk

Sentinel

Super-Skrull

To me...these characters could've easily been someone else in the
roster. I'm not saying that they suck, but I'm saying that I'm not
entirely happy that they're in. Here's my reasons...

X-23: Oh c'mon, are you seriously telling me that there was NOBODY
better than her? Nobody at all? Just another claw user who can combo
really well but can't take damage. She's just a faster Wolverine in and
out, and Wolverine's already a speed demon as is! I like the new
character choices, but let's try and get some freaking diversity. (And I
laugh when people bash Capcom for putting in Akuma when Marvel has X-23
and She-Hulk)

She-Hulk: While She-Hulk is very far from ever being considered a clone
of Hulk, she just seems to be...well...really freaking out of place and
pointless in this game. Of all the characters on the Marvel side,
hell...even Sentinel, this was the character that I said "She...should
not...be here. Especially when there's SOOOOO many other people to
choose from." One of the new characters in UMVC3 should have been the
one to take her place, for she's just pointless." Do they not know how
to add in a PROPER female? Like Black Cat? Elektra? Scarlet Witch?
Anyone at all? *Sigh* I guess not.

Sentinel: Okay...why...the hell...is this big thing back in this game?
So much for only putting out characters that're in upcoming crap. I
blame the Tourneytards for this, their whining is definitely the thing
that pushed this big metal piece of crap back into this game. And Capcom
couldn't have even added Huitzil to be his rival! WTF? This...is...just
oh so disappointing.

Super-Skrull: Okay, I understand the want to represent the four
Fantastic four through this pointy eared space abomination of an alien,
but MVC2 was just fine with only Dr. Doom, and MVC3 would be fine with
just Dr. Doom as well. Nope, instead we get an OP as fuck character who
possesses all the powers of the Fantastic four and is now even MORE OP
in UMVC3. Brilliant Marvel...Just...fucking...brilliant.

Marvel at least did some justice when it came to the new choices for
UMVC3, this was actually done really well. Ghost Rider is awesome,
Hawkeye is proving to be interesting, Dr. Strange is epic as hell, Iron
Fist is a powerhouse, Nova is an OTG Monster and I don't even know what
RR is gonna play like, but even with all these choices...it was only
done so that they could preview upcoming movies and comics, I mean...how
spotlight hungry can you fucking get here? This isn't even funny
anymore, people are bashing Capcom when it's the company they're working
with that's the real monsters.

My personal question...what if Capcom had more say-so on who Marvel
picked for the roster? I can guarantee you this, the roster wouldn't be
all characters out to exploit new crap from the company, that's for
sure! Why can't you have new classic characters in the series?
Characters that aren't super-famous in the comics right now but have
classic means to them, meaning they've been around for a while and out
of the spotlight.

Capcom was much smarter with their choices, not only bringing in
characters that were in something recently to their roster, but
characters to represent a vast amount of series'. We got three reps from
the Classic Darkstalkers series, the classic character Arthur from
Ghosts 'n' Goblins, not to mention gave some new blood to some new
characters to give some of the old ones a chance to rest. Phoenix
Wright, Frank West, Albert Wesker, Dante, Vergil, etc.

Capcom would have let in classic characters from the very beginning.
Shuma-Gorath would've been part of the initial roster and not DLC, we'd
most likely have Eddie Brock Venom in the game along with a classic
X-men character like Psylocke, not to mention we'd get some more
interesting choices as well.

All I'm trying to get across here is that it's not Capcom's fault for
your Marvel choices, it's Marvel's bloodsucking attribute to be a Media
Whore.

I won't lie. Marvel must send Luke Cage, Ms Marvel, Gambit and Blade. And Capcom must send Jin, Batsu, Gene and Jon Talbain
