A current soldier in the COG army, Marcus Fenix is the leader of Team Delta, a squad consisting of himself, Dominic Santiago, Baird and Cole. His skills in the field is leagues ahead of that of a normal COG soldier, and his advancements in weaponry makes him a powerful foe. He and his team fight to rid the world of an alien race known as the Locust, also coming into contact with that of a liquid race known as the Lambent, infecting the Locust to make their own soldiers.

Gnasher Shotgun (Qcf + L) (120,000)
A short-range Shotgun shot that will spread out in different directions when shot. This attack can hit opponents in the air if they're close enough to Marcus.
Lancer (Qcf + M) (110,000)
Marcus' trusted weapon, Marcus will shoot with his Lancer, hitting the opponent with several machine gun shots. The bullets can break through projectiles, but not fully break them.
Longshot (Qcf + H) (150,000)
The trusty sniper rifle of the Gears of War series, Marcus will pull out the Rifle and fire a quick shot, causing major to the opponent and a major knockback. This is a quick one-hit move that works alot like the Magnum attack that Chris Redfield posesses.
Smoke Grenade (Dp + L) (-/-)
A grenade toss that itself does not do any damage, but is rather designed to stun opponents to set up combos. The range on this grenade is the greatest of the three in Marcus' arsenal. This attack can be followed up with any of his Quarter Circle motion attacks such as the Lancer and Longshot.
Frag Grenade (Dp + M) (100,000)
Marcus will throw out the standard fragment grenade of the Gears of war series, exploding upon contact with the ground and having the unique design to wrap around the opponent if it comes into contact with them, meaning instant damage if the opponent isn't blocking.
Ink Grenade (Dp + H) (Up to 150,000)
The most effective of Marcus' grenades, although this one has the least amount of range, Marcus will toss out an Ink Grenade, which will explode upon contact with the ground, causing a cloud of foul-smelling ink to rise up from the place in the ground, which will also stick to the opponent to do chip damage over a course of 15 seconds, which, if the opponent doesn't get in three hits before the 15 seconds is over, will accumulate over 150,000 points of chip damage.
Chainsaw Bayonet (Hcb + A) (160,000 190,000)
Marcus' command grab, in which he grabs his opponent by their collar and then grinds his chainsaw bayonet into them for damage, then kicking them away after the command grab is done. The reach on the grab is fairly low, but this command grab is one of the strongest in the game.Hyper Combos
Mulcher (Qcf + AA) (285,000)
Marcus will pull out a Mulcher, a large Chain-firing Gun used as the main weapon by the enemy locust class known as Grinders. Marcus will shoot out an entire load of ammunition from the gun before throwing it away, then pulling out a Boomshot for one last final boom of a hit.
Oneshot (Dp + AA) (300,000)
An Anti-Tank Rifle, the Oneshot is made for one-shot firing and made to destroy almost anything it fires at, and it's no different here. Marcus will fire a One-Shot shot clean across the screen at a very fast pace, causing an immense amount of damage to the opponent caught in the crossfire.
Level 3: Hammer of Dawn (Qcb + AA) (445,500)
This hyper combo is started by Marcus pulling out the hammer of dawn and targeting the opponent, if the target connects with the opponent during firing, a cutscene will initiate in which a Satelite will shoot down a beam from space, frying the opponent in a quick burst for immense damage. Once the hyper combo is finished, Marcus will confirm the hit.
Marcus calls to one of his team members using his communications device. He then puts his gun on his back as he walks away.
