Asura

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Moveset:

Gender: Male

Species: God

Game Series: Asura's Wrath

First Appearance: Asura's Wrath (2012)

HP: 975,000 HP Points

Power Ranking:

Intelligence: 4
Strength: 7
Speed: 5
Stamina: 5
Energy Projection: 5
Fighting Ability: 7

Fighting Style description: Asura can be seen as the possible answer for Rogue from MVC2 and X-Men, possessing some of her techniques along with a powerful attack output and is capable of keeping pressure on the opponent. Asura is a rushdown character that can be as destructive in the air as on the ground with his Fire God and Fireball Smash attacks from above. His Spin shockwave can also reflect projectiles as well as cause a wall-bounce upon contact.

While he's a fast character, Asura possesses special moves with very long recovery times, meaning most of his specials may leave a chance for him to be punished if the opponent blocks. While he has no super armor, Asura is the only character that can do an armor break, AKA pull off an attack that if it connects after the opponent uses and advancing guard, the attack will be able to break through the block and become unblockable. Overall, Asura is a character who can play a good rushdown and air game. His keep-away is very lousy, but does much more than just make up for it with his amazing variety of in-close skills.

Assist Alpha: Fireball Bullets (Shot, Front)
Assist HC: Six Fists of Desctruction
Assist Beta: Spin Shockwave (Direct, Instant)
Assist HC: Six Fists of Destruction
Assist Gamma: Rise Destruction (Direct, Tilt down)
Assist HC: Bringer of Death

Entrance:

Flies down from the top of the screen and leaves an impact crater on the ground and he comes crashing into the ground. He then looks up at the opponent and gets into his fighting stance, summoning his other 4 arms.

Entrance Quotes:

#1: I fight…for no one but myself.

#2: You're a spec, a spec that has no chance of victory!

#3: I will shatter you along with the rest of those who've betrayed me!

Akuma: The desire to fight without a motive is pointless, I'll end your pointless rampage!

Amaterasu/Thor/Shuma-Gorath: You Gods are all the same…and you'll never be a match for my power.

Galactus: I've taken down enemies bigger than you. You're nothing to me.

Moves:

Ground Level

Standing Light: Straight Punch (52,000)

Standing Medium: Hook Punch (59,000)

Standing Hard: Six-Fist Punch (76,000)

Standing Special: Six-Fist Uppercut (100,000)

Crouched

Crouching Light: Low Punch (50,000)

Crouching Medium: Low Punch #2 (58,000)

Crouching Hard: Six-Fist Sweep (72,000)

Air Attacks

Air Light: Straight kick (48,000)

Air Medium: High kick (59,000)

Air Hard: Hard Punch (75,000)

Air Special: Six-Fist Meteor Smash (100,000)

Unique Moves

Six-Fist Barrage (F + H Mash H) (Each hit = 45,000 Total = 270,000)

Like Amaterasu possessing a button mashing combo with each of her divine instruments, Asura can commit a serious 6-hit combo by pushing the analog stick forward and mashing the H attack button. The attack will end with a knockback punch so that Asura has some recovery room when done attacking.

Special Moves

Fireball Bullets (Qcf + A Mash A for more firballs launched) (1 fireball = 40,000. Total Damage = 240,000)

Asura's main projectile attack, he'll use his six fists to launch rapid fireballs at the opponent. The fireballs are small and don't travel a very long distance, but it can cause some serious damage when the full fireball combo chain is pulled off. Once the attack is unleashed, mash the attack buttons to launch more fireballs faster, working like Amaterasu's Cold Star move.

Spin Shockwave (Qcfx2 + A) (195,000)

Not so much a spin as it is an arm swipe with the body almost going all the way round in the process, Asura will use three of his arms to smash through the air and cause a small outward shockwave that can either cause a wall bounce upon contact or destroy/reflect projectiles. Useful for starting up an unblockable combo.

Rising Smash (Qcb + A) (180,000)

Similar to a move used by Rogue in previous versus games, Asura will rise up into the air and does an angle smash into the ground. This attack can cause an OTG bounce or a medium knockback upon contact, also good for an air-only HC due to the OTG bounce is very high.

Soul-Destruction (Qcbx2 + A) (110,000)

A type of command grab but not entirely, Asura will dash forward and grab the opponent, sucking out some of their souls and throwing them away in the opposite direction. Working like a move similar to the soul suck move that Rogue used in previous versus games, only this attack does not give you a random power-up but rather recover your life.

Fire God (Qcf + A in air) (Each hit = 10,000 Total = 100,000)

In the air, Asura will dash through the air on fire and cause a barrage of small hit damage. Works like an air-only version of the charge attack that Onslaught possessed in MVC1.

Fireball Smash (Qcb + A in air) (Direct impact = 220,000. Shockwave = 130,000)

This is one attack you certainly don't want to be anywhere near Asura when he's using this attack. This attack will bring Asura down to the ground faster than gravity, his fist smashing into the ground and causing an outward shockwave. This attack's recovery time is very long, so it's advised to be careful when you use this attack.

Vanish Move (Down + Down + S)

A quick teleport move that makes Asura appear on the other side of the screen, the attack is very fast and recovery time is very little for a teleport.

Flight (Qcb + S)

This attack will cause Asura to fly in the air, a good chance to combo into the Fire God attack. The flight lasts for 4 seconds at the max.

Air Destruction (Mash H in the air)

Hyper Combos

Six Fists of Destruction (Qcf + AA) (320,000)

This attack sends Asura running across the screen, continuously using his six fists to continuously punch the opponent, the final attack makes him deliver a powerful knockback punch for some room to breath regarding the recovery time.

Bringer of Death (Qcfx2 + AA) (Grinding = 250,000. Wall Smash = 50,000)

Possibly designed as a command grab HC, Asura will dash forward at super-speeds. If he connects with an unblocking opponent, the attack will begin. He'll grab them by the head and quickly dash to the other side of the screen, dragging them along the ground face-first before throwing them at the wall, then throwing them the other way and the attack finishing.

Anger Burst (Down + Down + AA) (Attack power increased x1.5)

An ability used in the game Asura's Wrath, Asura will activate his Rage mode, which will power up his attacks, make him faster, and his flight abilities are now never-ending as long as he's in this form. This form lasts for 10 seconds, and symbolized by a powerful red aura around Asura.

Level 3: Punishment of the Gods (Qcb + AA) (Starting impact = 40,000. Barrage = 160,000. Finishing blow = 250,000)

This attack will start by Asura levitating into the air and smashing down into the ground, only this attack is on fire. Asura's attack will knock the opponent into the air where he will unleash a barrage of punches to the opponent in the air, the final punch smashing them down into the ground. He will then fly straight up to a super-high altitude and come crashing down on the opponent with his fist extended. Asura will then fly into the opponent and cause a huge explosion to occur, ending the attack or ending the battle.

Victory Pose:

Asura will have his back turned to the camera, his back then growing his other 4 arms. He will then look back at the camera with a fearsome look on his face.

Victory Quotes:

#1: My power is far beyond anything of your worlds…

#2: I didn't want to waste that amount of power, but I guess I had no choice.

#3: Even with my power diminished…I have destroyed you without even trying.

Akuma: You hold amazing power Wandering warrior. Let your power be known across the land.

Amaterasu/Thor/Shuma-Gorath: As I said before…you Gods are all the same…and now you will die the same.

Galactus: A destroyer of worlds. How a weak being such as yourself got that title, I've no clue.

Assist Quotes:

Call Partner:

"Assist me!!"

Attack Return:

"That wasn't strong enough"

Switch-Out:

"I will destroy you!"

Last Person Switch-Out:

"Once again, it's me versus the world!"

Color Schemes:

Color #1: Brown Skin, White hair.

Color #2: Human Skin color, Brown hair

Color #3: Black Skin, Blue hair

Color #4: Red Skin, Silver Hair

Color #5: Green Skin, Yellow Hair

Color #6: White Skin, Brown Hair

I hereby give Capcom full rights over this moveset and are welcome to use this in any way/shape/form that they desire.
The first of my two moveset requests for :iconalienhominid2000:

This moveset is for Asura, the star of the yet-to-be-released game "Asura's Wrath". To design a moveset for a character that anyone barely knows about is very hard to do, but thanks to some of the videos I found regarding the game, I was able to make a successful moveset for the character. The next moveset that my friend is requesting is for Seth from Street Fighter IV, and that's coming soon. :D

Enjoy everyone! :D

This move set's pretty good, but the first intro quote kinda throws me off, considering it's not entirely true, as it has been stated that he's fighting to save his daughter, but no big deal. I would've liked to see quotes with more characters as well.

I can see why his health is so high. Considering he's survived a country sized finger crushing him and being pierced into the earth by a sword that's 380,000 kilometers long, he deserves it.

I bet Augus or Yasha could make good vs fighters as well.

That's a great moveset XD
So let's see...

Spin Shockwave (Qcfx2 + A) (195,000)
I never thought there's some command like this before in MvC3... Perhaps you mean DP? (Dragon Punch, aka Forward, Down, Down-Forward; you know, the motion for Shoryuken.)

I think, in his games (from the gameplay trailer I've seen), the fireball can reach long distances... Why do you make them go in short distance? Perhaps to make it less spammable? I have an idea: Like Ammy's Cold Star, make this move into having long recovery time while keeping the long range of this attack.

Air Destruction (Mash H in the air)
Why just H? Why not "Mash Atk"?

Bringer of Death (Qcfx2 + AA) (Grinding = 250,000. Wall Smash = 50,000)

Possibly designed as a command grab HC, Asura will dash forward at super-speeds. If he connects with an unblocking opponent, the attack will begin. He'll grab them by the head and quickly dash to the other side of the screen, dragging them along the ground face-first before throwing them at the wall, then throwing them the other way and the attack finishing.

I think this move shouldn't be used for Crossover Combination (your Assist HC) because this could count as a cinematic hyper. Criterias for a hyper to be used for Crossover Combination are: not cinematic, not a counter, and not a buff hyper.

That's all from me, overall this moveset seems pretty solid. :iconthumbsupplz:

BTW, I'm DAN-004 from Capcom-Unity forums. Remember? I'm your moveset-critic guy. =P
